Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Windows Servers, SaaS applications, and networking hardware.
- Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-line IT support across the business.
- Work with external IT suppliers, ensuring efficient hardware/software procurement and contract management.
- Oversee IT security, compliance, and accreditation processes.
- Support the engineering team on customer projects requiring advanced IT expertise.
- Implement and maintain IT policies, working with HR, Health & Safety, and Finance teams.
- Monitor and improve IT systems, ensuring uptime, security, and performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT management or a senior IT role within a small-to-medium-sized business or MSP.
- Strong technical knowledge across Microsoft 365, Windows OS, networking (LAN/WAN/VPN), and security protocols.
- Experience managing IT policies, compliance, and accreditations (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to step into technical issues when required.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to work with all levels of the business.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel occasionally to customer sites.
