We’re hiring a Network Automation Lead for one of the UK’s most innovative and high-performance internet service providers, headquartered in Central London. This is a rare opportunity to take technical ownership of cutting-edge automation efforts within a dynamic software engineering environment — while remaining deeply embedded in the networking domain.

The Role

You’ll join the Software Network Automation team, a specialist function focused on building scalable, reliable automation for network configuration and provisioning. Your work will drive forward zero-touch provisioning, automate network engine functions, and improve delivery speeds across one of the UK\’s most advanced carrier-grade networks.

You will:

Take technical ownership of the network automation platform
Work hands-on with Python to build robust, scalable automation pipelines
Collaborate closely with the Head of Networks, COO, and the broader build team
Partner with Network Engineers to design and implement solutions
Own the codebase (90% coding), with a small element of architecture/design (10%)
Influence planning, architecture proposals, and team direction

What You’ll Need

Strong Python programming experience (this is a software engineering role focused on networks)
Previous experience working in network automation environments (config automation, network engines, provisioning tools)
Understanding of zero-touch provisioning principles
Strong appreciation for network engineering (you\’ll be working side-by-side with top-tier network engineers)
Proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to lead from the front
