This is a great opportunity for a Solutions Consultant to join a fast-growing cybersecurity managed services provider, shaping customer requirements into compelling, commercially viable security solutions. You'll work closely with sales, service delivery, technical specialists, and partners, providing technical leadership across the full sales cycle — from discovery and qualification through solution design, proposal development, customer presentations, and handover into delivery.
This role offers:
- The chance to work across a broad cybersecurity portfolio — MDR, SIEM, SOC, vulnerability management, cloud security, identity, and incident response — rather than being siloed into one product area.
- Genuine customer-facing seniority, leading presentations, workshops, and demos, and acting as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders, not just a technical box-ticker.
- The opportunity to shape repeatable service offerings and sales enablement material, giving you real influence over how the business goes to market.
If you enjoy translating complex security concepts into business value and want a role where commercial and technical skills both matter, this is well worth a look.
Responsibilities:
- Run discovery sessions to understand customer business objectives, security challenges, compliance drivers, and operational requirements.
- Translate customer needs into tailored managed service propositions (MDR, SIEM, SOC, vulnerability management, endpoint security, cloud security, identity, incident response).
- Develop high-level solution designs, scope assumptions, service descriptions, and supporting technical documentation.
- Support opportunity qualification and contribute technical/commercial input to bids, tenders, RFIs, and RFPs.
- Lead customer presentations, workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and demonstrations.
- Work with delivery, operations, product, and commercial teams to validate feasibility, resourcing, transition plans, and pricing.
- Contribute to statements of work, proposals, and transition documentation for smooth handover into delivery.
- Act as a trusted advisor, explaining complex security concepts in business terms.
- Maintain awareness of the threat landscape, market trends, competitor offerings, and relevant regulatory/assurance frameworks.
- Support development of repeatable service offerings, reusable collateral, and sales enablement material.
Skills/Must have:
- Proven experience in a pre-sales, solutions consultant, solutions architect, or technical sales role within cybersecurity or managed services.
- Strong understanding of core security domains: network security, endpoint security, threat detection, SIEM, SOC operations, vulnerability management, cloud security, IAM.
- Ability to design and articulate end-to-end managed service solutions balancing customer outcomes, operability, and commercial viability.
- Experience producing proposals, SOWs, technical responses, and solution documentation.
- Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills, comfortable with both technical teams and senior decision-makers.
- Commercial awareness — scoping, effort estimation, risk identification, pricing input.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to juggle multiple opportunities and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CAF, or Cyber Essentials.
