An industry-leading modular data centre provider is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing technical team. This is a newly created position offering exposure across the full engineering lifecycle - from concept development and product testing through to detailed design, production, installation, and commissioning.

You’ll work closely with senior technical leadership, playing a key role in shaping next-generation modular data centre solutions within a fast-scaling environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver mechanical design across modular data centre projects
  • Support concept development, product innovation, and testing
  • Produce and review technical designs in collaboration with electrical, BMS, and project teams
  • Ensure designs meet data centre standards and client requirements
  • Provide technical input into bids, value engineering, and feasibility
  • Support CFD modelling inputs and thermal design considerations
  • Coordinate design delivery from concept through to commissioning
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Experience in data centre or mission-critical environments
  • Strong CAD/design software experience (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Experience with HVAC/cooling systems within critical environments
  • Understanding of data centre standards and resilience principles
Desirable
  • Professional membership (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE)
  • Exposure to electrical systems or cross-discipline coordination
  • Experience supporting CFD modelling
