An industry-leading modular data centre provider is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing technical team. This is a newly created position offering exposure across the full engineering lifecycle - from concept development and product testing through to detailed design, production, installation, and commissioning.
You’ll work closely with senior technical leadership, playing a key role in shaping next-generation modular data centre solutions within a fast-scaling environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver mechanical design across modular data centre projects
- Support concept development, product innovation, and testing
- Produce and review technical designs in collaboration with electrical, BMS, and project teams
- Ensure designs meet data centre standards and client requirements
- Provide technical input into bids, value engineering, and feasibility
- Support CFD modelling inputs and thermal design considerations
- Coordinate design delivery from concept through to commissioning
- Engage with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
- Experience in data centre or mission-critical environments
- Strong CAD/design software experience (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit)
- Experience with HVAC/cooling systems within critical environments
- Understanding of data centre standards and resilience principles
- Professional membership (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE)
- Exposure to electrical systems or cross-discipline coordination
- Experience supporting CFD modelling
