Our client is a globally recognised systems integrator with an impressive enterprise customer base. They're looking for a Network Architect to take on the lead technical role on one of their key accounts β€” someone who is equally comfortable producing architecture designs and sitting across the table from a CTO in a difficult conversation. This isn't a pure hands-on engineering role and it isn't a pure presales role. It's the blend in between β€” 3rd line depth, design authority, P1 leadership, and customer ownership. If you're a senior network and security engineer who's ready to step into that space, this is worth a conversation.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Lead technical resource on the account β€” the go-to for architecture, escalation, and strategy
  • Attend and lead CAB calls, representing the technical position clearly and confidently
  • Face-to-face with the customer regularly β€” building the relationship and holding it under pressure
  • Produce network and security architecture designs across a complex, multi-vendor environment
  • Lead P1 incidents β€” coordinate the response, manage the room, drive resolution without necessarily being the one in the CLI
  • Blend of 3rd line escalation support and forward-looking design work
  • Have difficult conversations with customers when things go wrong β€” professionally and confidently

TECH STACK

  • Cisco Networking
  • Cisco Firewalls
  • Forcepoint
  • Check Point

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Genuinely technical β€” this is non-negotiable. You must have deep network and security knowledge
  • Strong Cisco networking and firewall background (essential)
  • Exposure to Forcepoint and/or Check Point security platforms
  • Experience producing network architecture and design documentation at enterprise level
  • Comfortable leading P1 situations β€” calm, authoritative, decisive
  • Credible in front of senior customer stakeholders β€” you can hold a room
  • Able to navigate difficult client conversations without losing the relationship
  • Experience working within a managed service or systems integrator environment preferred

THE PACKAGE

  • Β£55,000 – Β£65,000 base salary (up to Β£72,000 depending on experience)
  • Hybrid: 3 days a week in Belfast
  • Global systems integrator β€” enterprise-scale accounts and genuine career weight

This one's for a specific type of engineer β€” if it sounds like you, let's talk. Apply below or reach out directly β€” all applications handled in confidence.
