This is a high-profile role responsible for leading and developing a large team of accounting professionals within a complex, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence, improving processes and ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting services across a sizeable portfolio.
The Role:
- Reporting into senior leadership, you will take responsibility for the management and performance of a large client accounting division within a busy, multi-level finance operation.
- Leading, mentoring and developing a large finance and accounting team.
- Driving performance management, engagement and team structure improvements.
- Ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial and client accounting services.
- Reviewing operational processes and implementing efficiencies across the function.
- Managing workflows, resource planning and service delivery standards.
- Supporting senior leadership with reporting, KPI analysis and strategic initiatives.
- Working cross-functionally with operational and commercial teams.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, controls and internal procedures.
- Supporting ongoing growth, transformation and process improvement projects.
About You:
We are seeking a commercially minded finance professional with strong leadership experience gained within either accountancy practice, outsourced accounting services or a large-scale finance operation. The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience managing large accounting or finance teams.
- Strong people leadership and team development capabilities.
- Experience operating within a high-volume, process-driven environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A strong operational mindset with the ability to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
- Experience overseeing workflow management, quality control and service delivery.
- The ability to lead through change within a growing business environment.
