Hamilford Design are located in London's Notting Hill. We work with HNW and UHNW individuals, creating elegant, luxurious, warm residential interiors. Every room we design is unique. For our hospitality clients, we design gorgeous and memorable wow spaces. Our comprehensive range of interior design services take a project from inception through the design stages and FF&E procurement to completion, delivery and installation. We work on renovations, refurbishments and new builds supported by wider professional teams. Our projects range from listed residences in London to townhouses in New York, large country estates, lakeside properties and a few exciting commercial projects including an iconic London hotel.
We are seeking an intelligent, capable and driven Mid-Weight to work full-time in our Notting Hill studio. You must have 3 years experience of working on high-end residential projects in London. High quality technical drawing skills are also a must as well as knowledge of luxury high-end suppliers. You will work closely with your Senior, supporting them to deliver the highest quality of projects. You will engage in concept proposals, space planning, furniture selection, and FF&E. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with clients, architects, and contractors, designing interior spaces, selecting and purchasing FF&E, and communicating design concepts effectively. The role involves seeing projects through from concept to completion. With scope for career progression this is a fantastic opportunity for the right person. Vectorworks and Estimac experience highly desirable.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in interior design, with a focus on luxury, high-end residential projects
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality, well-resolved design work
- Ability to independently produce high-quality technical drawings
- Proficiency in Vectorworks (essential); SketchUp or similar tools beneficial
- Estimac (ESTI) experience highly desirable
- Strong understanding of tender documentation, scheduling and time management
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working approach
- Clear, methodical understanding of the full design process from concept to completion
Responsibilities
- Support Senior Designers in the delivery of residential and hospitality projects
- Contribute to concept design, space planning, furniture selection and FF&E
- Produce detailed technical drawings and design documentation
- Attend site visits and internal meetings, taking accurate notes and following up on actions
- Liaise confidently with clients, architects, contractors and wider professional teams
- Assist with programme management, identifying critical path items and long-lead elements
- Oversee procurement using ESTI, including FF&E specification, purchasing and tracking
- Support and attend FF&E installations, ensuring a high level of detail and execution
Team & Studio Responsibilities
- Work closely with Senior Designers leading projects
- Full-time, studio-based role with regular site visits
- Contribute to the refinement of studio processes and uphold brand standards
- Represent Hamilford Design at industry events and support business development where appropriate
