To teach a class of pupils ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs. To be flexible and adjust to the needs of the school, actively contributing to its development and growth.

To ensure that the curriculum provides a range of powerful, personalised learning opportunities for students. To implement agreed school policies and guidelines. To support whole school initiatives and events. To plan appropriately to meet the needs of all pupils, through differentiation of tasks. To be able to set clear targets, based on prior attainment, for pupils' learning. To provide a stimulating classroom environment, where resources can be accessed appropriately by all pupils. To keep appropriate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment into weekly and term planning in line with school policy. To report to parents on the development, progress and attainment of pupils in line with the school reporting calendar. To maintain positive learning atmosphere, in accordance with the school's behaviour for learning protocol. To participate in meetings which relate to the school's leadership, curriculum, administration and organisation. To communicate and co-operate with specialist teachers, other colleagues and, where necessary, outside agencies (eg. Child psychologists). To participate in the performance management system for the review of your own performance and to support a culture of continuous development.

Planning, Teaching and Class Management:

• Using modern technology to enhance learning opportunities.

• Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and of the tutor group as a whole.
• Support the life of the school beyond the classroom.
• Contribute positively to the morale and community spirit in the school.
• Operate at all times within the stated policies and practices of the school.
• To assist in whole school marketing initiatives and contribute to the growth of the school.
• Ensure that you meet statutory responsibilities and Company policies with regard to Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and other relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Any other appropriate duties as allocated by members of the school Leadership team.

Qualifications/Training:

• Degree in education or initial degree and post graduate teaching qualification - Essential.
• PGCE (or equivalent) in Primary Education - Desirable.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience - Essential.
• English (native level competency) - Essential.
• Ability to monitor, assess, record and report in pupils' progress - Essential.
