Job Title: Landscape Apprentice Location: Curdridge, Southampton Salary: £6.40 per hour Job type: Full-time, Apprenticeship Schedule: 8-hour shift Work Location: In person With 54 years of experience and thousands of delighted customers, the company is highly regarded for its professional garden design, construction and maintenance. About the Role: Our apprentices will work with our Landscape teams, and will gain experience of a wide range of construction skills and knowledge, including: Work with people who have gained a lot of experience. Learn varied landscaping skills. You will gain skills for a specific landscaping jobs. You will learn to use a variety of different tools and equipment such as spades, rakes, shovels, measuring equipment (such as tape measures and spirit levels). We will show you how to construct and maintain a variety of Landscape structures, from patios or walls to fences and decking. You will learn how to present a finished site to the clients expectations. Health and safety and care for the environment are really important aspects of this role. You will understand the importance of following relevant health and safety processes and procedures, identifying hazards relevant to the environments and preventing spillages.If you are the following: Comfortable in the outdoors, sometime working in adverse weather conditions. Like to be in a team environment. Willingness and enthusiasm to learn. Can do approach.Our Landscape teams Apprentices – will be trained to take on the following key responsibilities: To ensure all the relevant vehicles, machinery and materials are available for the start of each working day. To ensure Landscape documents are completed and handed to the Hire Shop. To be responsible for on – site maintenance and Health & Safety at all times. Keep accurate records of times and materials used on site. To ensure work is carried out to the specifications of the work schedule / plan. To report to the Manager any difficulties as soon as they occur, with proposed solutions, so they may be quickly remedied.Benefits: Company pension Free parking On-site parkingAdditional Information: Overseas candidates will NOT be considered for this role.
