We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work in the Urgent Care Centre based at Bursledon Surgery. The position is available for an immediate start. Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective, and evidence‑based care through autonomous clinical decision‑making, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of conditions.
  • Undertake and interpret diagnostics and take appropriate action to manage patient care, distinguishing between abnormal and normal findings in order to relate them to a possible diagnosis, using clinical guidelines as appropriate.
  • Signpost appropriately to other services in the identified healthcare pathway.
  • Communicate highly sensitive condition‑related information to patients, relatives and carers.
  • Maintain accurate and systematic documentation of patient interactions and clinical care provided, including adverse events.
  • Promote collaborative working relationships and effective communication between all members of the team at the Urgent Care Centre.
  • Ability to interpret a range of diagnostic tests and routine clinical procedures.
  • Work within professional guidelines and codes of conduct.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and all ill health, failings in equipment or environment to line managers.
  • Maintain and clean equipment as per guidelines that are used in the course of your duty.

Essential Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse
  • MSc, Level 7 qualification or equivalent
  • NMC requirements for advanced practice must be met
  • Independent, supplementary nurse prescribing qualification
  • Advanced nursing specialist qualification
  • Relevant nursing health degree

Desirable Qualifications

  • Clinical supervision training and experience

Essential Experience

  • Nurse Prescribing
  • Nurse led management of minor illness, minor ailments and other minor injuries
  • Nurse led triage

Desirable Experience

  • 3 years plus recent primary or community nursing experience
  • Compiling clinical protocols and guidelines
