What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure the home and grounds are kept in a good state of repair and residents have access to all appropriate areas
  • Maintain compliance with Health and Safety legislation throughout the home, and report any incidents
  • Carry out day-to-day repairs and some refurbishment activity to keep standards in the care home
  • Actively engage with staff, relatives, families and residents as part of the care home team
  • Ensure regular safety checks and servicing of all equipment and keep accurate records
  • Communicate effectively with the Home Manager and residents

About you:

  • Proven experience in maintenance and repair work
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Demonstrated Health and Safety awareness through discussion
  • Share our values and demonstrate them at all times
  • "Can-Do" flexible team worker, problem fixer, passion for what you do, ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload, think out of the box and open to doing things differently
