Verwood House, part of Hamberley Care Homes, is recruiting a Care Assistant (Homemaker) to provide residential, dementia, and nursing care for older people. This role goes beyond task‑based care; you will build personal relationships and tailor support to each resident.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized care that differs each day—administer medications, make beds, arrange family meals, or accompany residents to appointments.
  • Spend significant, meaningful time with residents, rather than rotating between many clients.
  • Support residents with daily tasks and small details that make their lives unique.

Qualifications & What We Look For

  • Previous experience as a healthcare assistant, care assistant, carer, home care assistant or domiciliary care assistant, or a genuine interest in developing a care career with no prior experience.

  • Willingness to undertake training and induction; no specific qualifications required at the outset.
