Responsibilities

  • Support residents, families, and colleagues in a well-being focused role, making things happen.
  • Plan and deliver enrichment and well-being activities on a weekly and monthly basis, learning what makes each resident happy as an individual.
  • Discover residents’ hobbies and interests and work with colleagues and families to keep them doing what they love.
  • Assist with daily activities and organize events and activities within the home.
  • Support colleagues’ own well-being, lead and inspire the home to create a positive and creative living environment.
  • Maintain communication of care planning and activity engagement documentation.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate yourself.
  • Good interest in the local area with keen knowledge of community groups and events.
  • Previous experience caring for people in a residential care setting or transferable skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience in care planning and activity documentation.
  • Passion, empathy and a desire to improve people’s lives, making them enjoyable, rewarding and fun.
