The Laundry Assistant ensures the supply of clean laundry to our residents and contributes to the provision of cleaning, laundry and domestic services to the home.

What you’ll be doing:
- Ensuring the laundry of residents clothing is to the highest standard, including ironing.
- Responsible for ensuring resident's laundry is collected and correctly labelled to ensure items are returned to the correct area of the home on a regular basis.
- Ensure that the laundry equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition.
- Report any defect to the Maintenance Person.
- To comply with COSHH and Health & Safety regulations, ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and follow the correct use of colour code systems within the home.
- Assist Homemakers to ensure that daily/weekly housekeeping tasks are completed when needed.
- To maintain standards of infection control within the laundry area and generally within the home and to assist residents to maintain their own infection control needs.
About You:
- We’re looking for people with great organisational and people skills to join our housekeeping team.
- Previous demonstrable experience working in a role within a care home setting or similar environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast-paced environment.
