As our Hostess, you'll play an important role in promoting residents' nutrition, hydration, wellbeing and overall dining experience, ensuring residents are treated with dignity, respect and kindness.

Joining us at Milngavie Manor, our luxury care home that provides residential, dementia, and nursing care for older people, you'll be part of a team that is genuinely passionate about the health and well-being of our residents.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Provide a warm, friendly and professional service to residents, relatives and visitors.
  • Prepare dining rooms and service areas before each meal service and restore them following service.
  • Serve meals, snacks and refreshments in a dignified and person-centred manner.
  • Promote an enjoyable dining experience, encouraging social interaction and resident choice.
  • Maintain safe food storage practices, including stock rotation and date checking.
  • Use cleaning products safely and in accordance with COSHH guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider housekeeping and care teams to maintain high standards of cleanliness and resident comfort across the home.

About You

  • Proven experience working in a similar hospitality/ catering role, ideally in a care or similar environment.
  • Committed to customer care and first-class service provision
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations
  • Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
