We are looking for an Activities Assistant (Wellbeing Assistant) to join our team at Charrington Manor, a luxury care home that provides residential, dementia, and nursing care for older people. You will support residents, families, and colleagues in creating vibrant social, wellbeing, and lifestyle activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents, families, and colleagues as the person who makes things happen.
  • Plan, organise, and deliver enrichment and wellbeing activities on a weekly and monthly schedule.
  • Get to know each resident’s hobbies and interests and work with the team to ensure they can continue doing what they love.
  • Assist with daily activities and run events/activities within the home.
  • Support colleagues with their own wellbeing and inspire the home to maintain a positive and creative living environment.

About you

  • Excellent communication skills, passion, empathy, and a desire to make people’s lives more enjoyable, rewarding and fun.
  • Excellent organisational skills, leadership experience and the ability to motivate yourself.
  • A strong interest in the local area and knowledge of community groups, as residents enjoy days out and events.
  • Previous experience caring for people within a residential care setting or similar transferable skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including responsibility for care planning and activity engagement documentation.
