As a Junior Sous Chef at Ham Yard Hotel, you will play a crucial role in our culinary team, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

You will work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, assisting with the order of service for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to the exceptional dining experiences that our guests have come to expect.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist in the preparation and presentation of all food items.
  • Supervise a small team of kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operations during service.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage ordering for your section.
  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other team members to develop new menu items.
  • Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes.

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a high-pressure, busy kitchen.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for food.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a small team.
