About Halwyn: Halwyn is a hospitality destination built on a family farm in Crantock on the North Coast of Cornwall. Halwyn combines a bespoke contemporary farmhouse style restaurant and feasting barn, boasting panoramic 180 degree south facing countryside views and a sunset dining terrace, with a fifteen-bay golf range powered by Trackman, along with a naturally landscaped mini-golf course, playfully woven through landscaped gardens. The dining space is distinctly separated from the golf range and is crafted from an exposed oak frame with vaulted ceilings, polished concrete flooring, custom hardwood sliding doors, and a large log burning fireplace. Our restaurant serves fresh local ingredients from friends within the Cornish supply chain, including Trevowah Herd Beef straight from the family farm. We will also host regular feast nights, alongside a day-to-day dining experience.
As a Bay Chef, this is a chance to work in a brand-new kitchen, learn important skills and be an integral part of the kitchen team. Together we can build something special.
About The Role: In your role as Bay Chef, you will prepare, cook and present dishes with passion and a drive for excellence. You will receive top quality training from more senior members of the team who will guide your progression as a chef. Executing Bay service from the kitchen, sometimes solo. Cook with quality, fresh ingredients from the local area. Maintain high standards in personal presentation, food preparation and cleanliness. Learn and adhere to kitchen recipes, cooking methods and procedures. Have keen interest in all things food, listen, learn and grow as a chef. This role is about cooking our food offering, bay food to the Trackman Driving Range, with the same standards, passion and energy that the rest of the kitchen follows.
About You: We are looking for the right people; skills we can teach, attitude, willingness to learn and good character come from you. Passion for working with quality seasonal ingredients. Have a drive for excellence. Attention to detail and strong work ethic. Basic knowledge of food preparation and hygiene.
