Are you an analytical thinker who loves getting underneath the data to understand what’s really happening and why?
We’re looking for an Insight Analyst to join a small, fast-paced team where your work will have real visibility and impact.
This isn’t a role where you’ll simply produce reports and dashboards.
You’ll turn complex customer and operational data into clear, meaningful insight, identifying trends, uncovering root causes and helping stakeholders understand what actions they should take as a result.
As part of a small and collaborative team, you’ll sometimes need to wear more than one hat.
We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, confident in their thinking and comfortable constructively challenging assumptions.
You'll have the opportunity to work with a broad range of data, develop your insight skills and see your analysis directly influence decisions and service improvements.
This is a hybrid role.
You’ll be expected to work from the office quite a bit during your initial training period to help you get fully up to speed.
Following your training, you’ll typically attend the office on average twice a week.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for someone with experience in an analytical, insight or similar data-focused role.
You'll ideally have
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Experience within Customer Experience, customer insight or social housing would be beneficial, but it isn't essential.
- Advanced or strong working knowledge of Excel.
- Strong stakeholder management experience.
- Some practical SQL capability.
- Experience using a data visualisation or dashboarding tool such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau or similar.
- Strong data storytelling skills and the ability to explain the meaning behind the numbers.
- The ability to produce concise, engaging written reports.
- Confidence communicating and presenting findings to different stakeholders.
- A basic understanding of statistical techniques such as correlation and regression.
- The confidence to ask questions, challenge thinking and make evidence-based recommendations.
Most importantly, we want someone who can move beyond "what does the data say?" and confidently answer "why does it matter, and what should we do about it?"
We're more interested in your analytical judgement, curiosity, communication skills and evidence of using insight to influence decisions and improve services than your sector background.
What You’ll Get
- 30-day holiday entitlement (increasing to 33 days after 3 years’ service), plus bank holidays
- Opportunity to buy or sell holidays
- Competitive salary
- Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme
- Flexible and Hybrid working
- Supported training and development opportunities
- Health and Wellbeing Cash Plan
- Competitive Pension Scheme
- Advert Close Date: Sunday 25th October
- Shortlisting Date: Tuesday 27th October
- Interview Date: Tuesday/Wednesday 3rd /4th November
(Formal Interview & Presentation based on pre-interview task which will be an excel based data exercise and presented in the interview)
