Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced Application Developer to work across our vibrant organisation.

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Duration: Permanent

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with key internal colleagues to understand the business needs, then translate these needs into a specification against which system changes and enhancements can be developed and delivered.
  • Turn the analysis of business needs into a solution design that will deliver the required system changes and enhancements.
  • Development of designed solutions using a suite of development tools appropriate for the job.
  • Configure system data and integration whilst building and deploying new modules.
  • When required engage with external suppliers to develop the operational systems.
  • Develop test plans for systems changes and enhancements and carry out rigorous testing against these plans, including user testing.

What You’ll Need:

  • Degree in relevant business or technology discipline and/or experience delivering complex technology and change projects using appropriate technologies focussed on digital and application/system based projects.
  • Technical knowledge in areas such as Cloud-computing, Microsoft Power Platform, web application frameworks and database management systems with experience of utilising technology toolsets to build solutions for internal and external users.
  • Can apply an extensive range of problem solving, automation and networking skills both internally (up to Senior Management level) and externally with the ability to explain complex systems and concepts.
  • Can balance conflicting priorities of self and others to deliver successful and diverse projects and/or achieve performance targets and outcomes.
