Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced Gas Plumber, Service & Installation to work across our vibrant organisation.

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Duration: Permanent

What Youll Do:

  • Carry out gas servicing, safety inspections, testing, commissioning and installation work, ensuring full compliance with Gas Safe regulations.
  • Diagnose faults and work with external agencies and utility providers to resolve gas-related issues.
  • Accurately complete certification, job records and compliance documentation using electronic systems.
  • Participate in the 24-hour emergency call-out rota.
  • Support and mentor apprentices and trainees, helping to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Work safely and in line with Health & Safety legislation, ensuring the wellbeing of customers, colleagues and contractors.

What Youll Need:

  • ACS gas qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CMDDA1 and UHWS.
  • NVQ Level 3/Craft Certificate in Domestic Plumbing or a relevant trade qualification.
  • Experience servicing, repairing and installing boilers, heating systems and gas appliances.
  • Certification in electrical safe isolation and confidence working with essential electrics.
  • A good understanding of Gas Safety Regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
  • A full UK driving licence and the ability to drive commercial vehicles.
  • Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work flexibly, including participation in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
