Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for 2 experienced Environmental Services Operatives to work across our vibrant organisation.

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Duration: x1 Permanent, x1 Fixed Term Contract (6 months)

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in carrying out a range of horticultural and cleansing operations to open spaces and individual gardens, including but not limited to; litter picking, fly tipping removal and environmental improvements.
  • Be proactive in reporting repairs, hazards, defects, fly tipping and any health and safety matters.
  • Carry out a range of grass cutting operations including grass cutting with hand, pedestrian controlled and ride on machines.
  • Pruning and general maintenance of hedgerows and shrub beds with hand tools and powered cutters, including soil preparation and mulching.

What You'll Need:

  • Full Driving Licence
  • NPTC Unit PA1 - Safe Use of Pesticides
  • NPTC Unit PA6 - Use of Handheld applicator
  • Lantra/ NPTC Use of Rode-on Rotary Mowers
  • Experience undertaking a full range of grounds maintenance activities and the use of grounds maintenance equipment.
  • Understanding and awareness of Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow defined processes and procedures in an accurate and consistent manner.
