Role Overview
Halton Borough Council’s Care Homes are looking for a General Assistant to support daily operations in a safe, welcoming, and well‑maintained environment for residents. The role includes maintaining standards of cleanliness and hygiene, assisting with meal preparation and laundry tasks and providing simple personal‑care support to promote independence.
Hours and Location
Hours: 20 hours per week, rota based across 7 days. Location: Millbrow care home.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Assist with meal preparation and laundry tasks.
- Provide simple personal‑care support to residents.
- Support daily operations as part of a dedicated team.
Required Experience and Skills
- Domestic work experience.
- Health and safety awareness.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding the needs of older people.
- Availability to work weekends, bank holidays and additional shifts.
- Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination or valid medical exemption.
