Our Schools Traded teams deliver services across 55 primary and 5 secondary schools in the Borough. Our workforce provides day‑to‑day support, making a positive impact on the lives of real people within the community and beyond. You will join a trusted, supportive and welcoming team dedicated to keeping our areas safe for students, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Keep St Helens children safe by patrolling school crossing areas.
  • Manage traffic flow during school arrival and dismissal times, ensuring safe pedestrian crossings.
  • Operate outdoors in all weather conditions, coordinating with drivers, parents and teachers.
  • Promote road safety and raise awareness among local communities.

Qualifications

  • No formal qualifications required.
  • Good rapport with children and adults.
  • Awareness of road safety principles.
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and able to cover 5 hours per week during term time, mornings and afternoons.
