Social Worker – ICART
We are seeking a Social Worker to join the ICART team in Halton Borough. This role involves screening checks with parents, carers, children, young people, and partner agencies (police, health, education) to support decision making regarding next steps for safeguarding matters. The post is based in the Widnes office with occasional travel across the borough.
Responsibilities
- Screening checks with parents / carers / child / young person, police, health, education and other partner agencies.
- Assist the manager to determine next steps by identifying immediate risk and ensuring consent has been gained from parents / carers when necessary.
- Triaging information from the public and professionals to help the ICART team determine the appropriate action.
Hours
37 hours per week.

Market Supplement
For salaries of HBC7 and HBC8 – £2,710 per annum. A market supplement is payable for those hard‑to‑fill posts within Children’s Services from 1Oct2024 to 31Mar2027.
