Our team at Inglefield are currently looking for two compassionate, dedicated individuals to join our team as Residential Childcare Workers. Our Team: Inglefield is a small, welcoming residential home based in Runcorn, offering short breaks and long-term residential support for children and young people aged 4 to 18. We provide care within a warm, family-centred environment where every young person is valued and supported. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care in a fun, relaxed, and nurturing setting. Our home is full of character and warmth, creating the ideal space for children and young people to feel safe, thrive, and reach their full potential.
Your Contributions: We’re looking for someone who is caring, energetic, and child-focused to join our team at Inglefield! Ideally, you’ll have some experience working with children and young people — especially those with disabilities, additional health needs, or behaviours that can sometimes be challenging. If you’re patient, supportive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with young people, you could be a great fit for our team. No two days are the same, and in this role your personality, hobbies, and creativity really matter. Whether you love baking, football, arts and crafts, gaming, or just going for a walk — your interests can help bring joy, comfort, and new experiences to the children and young people we support.
Key duties include:
- Providing a key worker role, in accordance with the child/young person’s care plan
- Involvement in informal group work with the children, young people and their families
- Planning, preparation, delivery and participation in activities for children/young people to include education and leisure interests
- Providing reports, recording events and contributing to the maintenance of case files
- Involvement in domestic chores – including washing, preparation of meals, shopping and cleaning
- Personal Care
Hours: 20 per week - 3 week rota, planned in advance. Every other weekend off.
