Our team at Inglefield are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed person who will have a sensitive approach to the needs of the residents and who will work closely with the existing staff to ensure that high standards of food provision are maintained. Our service provides long-term support to children and their families, with a strong focus on exceptional care and a nurturing environment. As a cook, you'll play a vital role in this by preparing nutritious, home-style meals that support health and well-being. We follow a person-centered approach, respecting each child’s privacy, dignity, and individual needs—ensuring that mealtimes are not only nourishing but comforting and inclusive.

Your Contributions:

  • Planning, purchasing and preparing nutritionally balanced and appetising meals for the children and staff.
  • Serving the meals and clearing away, ensuring that the kitchen facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness to meet the requirements of the food hygiene guidelines.
  • Planning, preparing and cooking to meet multiple dietary requirements and provisions.
  • Responsible for Health & Safety/Food Safety and hygiene in the kitchen, and undertaking inventory control.
  • Ideally having a Food Safety level 2 certificate or above, and/or a relevant catering qualification, with experience of working in a commercial/residential kitchen.
