Our Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual to join our Fostering and Children in Care Teams, as a Clerical Officer. Our Teams are dedicated to supporting children by recruiting and supervising foster carers, arranging and monitoring placements, and delivering care planning and practical support to promote each child’s safety, stability and long-term wellbeing. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual who enjoys working in a varied and busy environment and has previous administration experience, particularly in processing financial transactions. You will be primarily based at Rutland house in Runcorn, with some flexibility for home/agile working, and will provide support for colleagues and clients of Halton Borough Council’s Children’s Services.
Your Contributions
- Maintain and update computerised records and databases, ensuring accurate data entry and efficient information retrieval.
- Deliver administrative and clerical support, including typing, photocopying, post distribution, room bookings, meeting coordination, and stationery/equipment management.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to telephone and face-to-face enquiries, offering information and directing queries appropriately.
- Support financial administration by processing cash receipts, placing orders, goods receipting, maintaining Excel spreadsheets, and handling related enquiries.
- Assist with performance monitoring and administrative processes to support the effective delivery of frontline services.
