Overview

The hours available are to be discussed with the employer. This role offers around 12.5 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours. The position is in the Chestnut Lodge area of Widnes. Weekend work may be required. No overseas or sponsorships. This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of the lady herself and she will be your employer; Halton Direct Payments Team are advertising on behalf of the individual. Responsibilities

  • Morning call (2.5 hours) starts at 8:00; tasks include getting up, personal care, giving medication and breakfast, teeth brushing, showering and dressing.
  • Dinner call (1.5 hours) starts at 12:00; tasks include giving medication, feeding and chair transfer.
  • Tea/bed call (2.25 hours) starts at 18:00; tasks include chair transfer, giving medication, feeding evening meal, brushing teeth, putting pajamas on and putting to bed.
  • Provide cover for sickness/holiday periods as required.

Requirements

  • Experience with caring for adults with disabilities is beneficial; ability to support a person with locked-in syndrome with all aspects of daily living to enable independent living.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a small care team; able to work in pairs for shifts.
  • Willingness to work weekends if required.
