Halr Tech Group is seeking a dedicated Autism Practitioner to join a Complex and Specialist Care and Support division. Reporting directly to the Autism Lead, you will play a crucial role in implementing high-quality, evidence-based care for autistic individuals in community-based settings. This role requires a professional with substantial experience in autism support, with a strong focus on personalised care, training delivery, and service improvement. You will work closely with operational teams, professionals, and families to ensure flexible, person-centred interventions that enhance quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Oversight: Oversee the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care pathways tailored to autistic individuals. Ensure compliance with policies and best practices in autism care.
- Service Development & Training: Develop and deliver bespoke training for staff and families. Contribute to the implementation of the organisation’s Autism Strategy, fostering collaboration across teams. Assist in the development of policies, processes, and training materials based on the latest research.
- Innovation & Person-Centred Care: Adapt new approaches to support individuals with complex needs. Implement flexible interventions that prioritise independence and well-being.
- Leadership & Coaching: Act as a role model for best practices in autism care. Coach and mentor support workers and teams, fostering a culture of positive behaviour support. Conduct functional assessments to identify individual strengths and challenges.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Utilise a range of communication strategies tailored to individual needs. Maintain strong relationships with families, professionals, and key stakeholders. Provide expert guidance in complex service development discussions.
- Regulatory Compliance & Safeguarding: Ensure that all services meet safety and regulatory standards. Work within the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) framework to support informed decision-making. Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns promptly.
