Halon

We're looking for a proactive Technical Artist to bridge the gap between visualization and engineering, delivering hands-on expertise and solutions to artists, animators, and riggers. You'll collaborate across departments to help troubleshoot and streamline issues in our pipeline as well as getting in the mix with shot creation. From setting testing standards to identifying risks before they hit source control, you'll play a key role in keeping our pipelines efficient and our builds solid. Working within our visualization team, you'll help scope tasks, estimate work, and proactively flag challenges β€” all while maintaining the documentation and best practices that keep the team moving fast.

β€’ Follow and help shape best practices, workflows, pipelines, and tooling for technical art

β€’ Translate creative and artistic briefs into clear, actionable requirements with minimal oversight

β€’ Balance quality against performance, crafting solutions that optimize for both simultaneously

β€’ Juggle multiple ongoing tasks across the full development-to-delivery lifecycle

β€’ Carry out code and content performance reviews when required

β€’ Validate all work within builds prior to submission

β€’ Flag potential risks tied to changes before they're committed to source control

β€’ Understand responsibilities within a scrum framework and help scope out technical art tasks

β€’ Participate in daily standups, and give estimates during sprint planning and related sessions

β€’ Anticipate project risks proactively and recommend practical solutions
