About The Position
Halon Entertainment is a leading visualization and technology company, specializing in storytelling for film, games, and advertisements. We are seeking a talented Senior Pipeline Engineer with expertise in Unreal Engine to join our pipeline team. The role involves developing, architecting, and implementing advanced production pipelines for VFX, animation, and virtual production. You will contribute to enhancing existing tools and creating new solutions, ensuring efficient workflows across modeling, rigging, animation, and rendering, including integration with render farm management systems like Deadline.
Requirements
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Scotland.
- 5-7+ years of experience in pipeline development within VFX, animation, or related fields.
- Deep understanding of animation, modeling, rigging, and rendering pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience with Unreal Engine: Blueprints, Animation Blueprints, Python API.
- Familiarity with DCC tools such as Maya, Houdini, Blender, Substance Painter.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Perforce or Git.
- Understanding of SOLID principles and best practices in software engineering.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues efficiently in fast-paced environments.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills, with experience working with artists and engineers.
- Experience with AYON or similar pipeline frameworks is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and rendering workflows is a plus.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
