About the Role
An exceptional General Manager (GM) is required for a remarkable super prime scheme in the heart of one of London's most prestigious and affluent residential neighbourhoods.
This world-class development will set a new standard of luxury living in London.
The GM will have the opportunity to become involved at the early stages of sales launch and play a crucial role in supporting the sales and marketing experience, as well as the mobilisation & launch strategy and future operations.
The development will comprise 120 residences, including 11 townhouses and 109 apartments.
Adjacent to the development are 59 affordable intermediate rental apartments and retail units, which this role will have oversight of.
The development will house extensive amenities including a multi-function sports court, swimming pool, spa and wellness facilities, treatment rooms, gym, lounges and secure underground valet-operated parking.
The scheme itself is expected to reach first completion in 2028.
However, the role is expected to commence in June 2026 to support the sales and marketing for the development as well as developing and leading the mobilisation and launch of the services for the development.
The Candidate
The GM will be the face of this prestigious development and the most senior person on site, responsible for a substantial team of staff.
The GM will play an integral role in mobilisation and launching the scheme to ensure an impeccable service is delivered from day one.
This is a highly empowered position requiring the ability to motivate, cultivate and mentor a staff team devoted to achieving the highest standards of resident satisfaction and exceptional service.
The GM will be an ambassador for the brand and the development, responsible for creating an atmosphere of 'home' for its discerning residents, while delivering the very best in terms of quality and service.
They will ensure the multiple service elements operate effectively across the entire development, supported by Rhodium's property management team.
The successful candidate will have significant experience within high-end, super prime residential schemes, and in 5* world-class hospitality or private residential estates.

Key Responsibilities during scheme mobilisation and beyond
- Collaborate with the sales team for sales activities and promotion of the scheme, 'meet and greet' prospective buyers and discuss the scheme and the services in further detail.
- Develop and implement the partnership strategy for the development and engage key partners and local businesses to curate an exciting offering for the residents.
- Be a key team member for buyer communications, visits and ultimate handovers
- Be an ambassador for the scheme, and important team member for client, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the development team to establish timelines and milestones for the pre-opening and phased handover stages
- Develop SOPs for each element of service, ensuring that the development e and Rhodium cultures are threaded throughout the guest and team member experience.
- Help to define and recruit the on-site team roles, including building the training and development strategies.
- Implement operational and employee policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Assist with operational and pre-opening budgeting and procurement strategies.
- Play a key role in contract tendering and managing relationships with suppliers
- Provide knowledge and skills to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities during live operations
- Lead a best-in-class property management service provision across the development.
- Be an ambassador for the scheme, first point of call for client, residents, and other service providers.
- Foster excellent resident relations and organise community events, social activities, and resident engagement initiatives
- Maintain and develop an engaging and energetic team, supporting and coaching team members through regular reviews and behavioural goals to secure best in class delivery and excellent retention rates.
- Input into and support administration and coordination of budgets.
- Direct and manage essential central and estate services such as Health & Safety, concierge, security, maintenance, mail, cleaning, catering, retail servicing, waste disposal and recycling.
- Regular reporting and presenting to the client and head office, holding meetings to discuss activity on site, HR issues, resident meetings/concerns, maintenance issues, budgeting etc.
- Manage and conduct meetings with the Residents/Board of Directors, lead all communications and annual meetings
- Perform a variety of duties as required, with ability to change from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Leverage key performance indicators to review and enhance overall property effectiveness.
- Make suggestions for and implement improvements in overall operations with an emphasis on increasing owner satisfaction and cost efficiencies.
Requirements
- Previous General Management experience required. This could be from luxury hospitality, residential or private yacht / cruise ship background.
- Experience of dealing with service charges or budgets of £3-5m plus.
- Fluent in English. Language skills in other languages preferable.
- In-depth health and safety/Building Safety Act knowledge, IOSH/NEBOSH preferred.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Strong network of current contacts within London luxury services and hospitality.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, ability to foster key relationships and high standards of personal presentation.
- Occasional weekend working needed as part of the responsibility held by the GM.
