HGV Technician
St Helens
We are searching for Motivated, Reliable and Hard-Working HGV Technicians of all levels of competency who will be based from our clients depot in Lea Green. Please see below for various shift patterns available:
DAYS 4 ON 4 OFF RATES OF PAY:
cĀ£19.48 per hour ā higher rates are available and negotiable for the right person
DAYS 4 ON 4 OFF OVERTIME RATES OF PAY:
c£26.80 per hour higher rates are available and negotiable for the right person
HOURS OF WORK:
6:00 am 6:00 pm ā Full continental four on four off day shift ā (30 mins unpaid lunch)
NIGHTSHIFT RATES OF PAY:
c£24.35 per hour- higher rates are available and negotiable for the right person
NIGHTS 4 ON 4 OFF OVERTIME RATES OF PAY:
£26.80 per hour to £31.62 per hour (dependent on shift worked)
Our client is a certified Scania dealership which has 5 depots throughout the North West of England all operate 24 hours, Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. Their modern facilities include leading-edge vehicle technology and diagnostic equipment, an extensive selection of trucks, trailers, tail lift, fridge units to work on and a structured personal training and development program, tailored to each individual. This depot works solely one customers fleet as a VMU and therefore works slightly differently to the usual dealership environment.

The role of HGV Technician will involve:
- Carrying out diagnostics, inspections, service routines, repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner, with the most effective use of your time
- Reporting findings and carrying out all repairs to the current manufacturers standards
- Reporting to the shift supervisor
- Investigating and diagnosing faults
- Observing Health and Safety rules
- Liaising with the parts department effectively
