We are searching for motivated, reliable and hard-working HGV Technicians of all levels of competency who will be based from our clients depot in Lea Green.

Please see below for various shift patterns available:

  • DAYS 4 ON 4 OFF

RATES OF PAY: c£19.48 per hour - higher rates are available and negotiable for the right person

  • DAYS 4 ON 4 OFF OVERTIME RATES OF PAY: c£26.80 per hour - higher rates are available and negotiable for the right person

HOURS OF WORK: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm - Full continental four on four off day shift (30 mins unpaid lunch)

  • NIGHTSHIFT RATES OF PAY: c£24.35 per hour - higher rates are available and negotiable for the right person
  • NIGHTS 4 ON 4 OFF OVERTIME RATES OF PAY: £26.80 per hour to £31.62 per hour (dependent on shift worked)

Our client is a certified Scania dealership which has 5 depots throughout the North West of England, all operate 24 hours, Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. Their modern facilities include leading-edge vehicle technology and diagnostic equipment, an extensive selection of trucks, trailers, tail lift, fridge units to work on and a structured personal training and development program, tailored to each individual.

This depot works solely on one customer's fleet as a VMU and therefore works slightly differently to the usual dealership environment. Each and every one of our clients' employees are valued, and their aim is to retain, develop and promote their employees from within, developing within their existing roles or progressing through to management or alternative roles.

The role of HGV Technician will involve:

  • Carrying out diagnostics, inspections, service routines, repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner, with the most effective use of your time
  • Reporting findings and carrying out all repairs to the current manufacturers standards
  • Reporting to the shift supervisor
  • Investigating and diagnosing faults
  • Observing Health and Safety rules
  • Liaising with the parts department effectively
