Overview

We are looking for skilled orthotics technicians in the following areas:

  • Last Making
  • Insole Making
  • Sole Making

Working with a highly skilled team of technicians at our purposely built modern factory based on park farm industrial estate Wellingborough, you will be making bespoke orthopaedic footwear by hand and machine in the traditional way. Each pair of shoes are unique and designed to the customer requirements and supplied across the UK hospitals through our own clinicians.

Responsibilities

You will be producing bespoke orthopaedic footwear by hand and machine in the traditional way, ensuring each pair is unique and designed to the customer requirements. Shoes are supplied across UK hospitals through our own clinicians.

Qualifications

The applicant should have:

  • Has experience in production environments.
  • Requires supervision and step-by-step instructions.
  • Understands health & safety regulations.
  • Can use basic tools and equipment.
  • Has a limited understanding of production processes or product specifications.
  • Can work on basic tasks once trained.
  • Can follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Observes and shadows experienced operatives.
  • Understands the importance of quality but relies on others for assurance.
