Duties and responsibilities
- Plan and carry out swimming lessons to increase customer skill and confidence.
- Provide feedback to customers to help them improve their swimming skills.
- Ensure customers are aware of the risks in the water and build confidence to overcome any barriers.
- Beat your targets.
- Run a safe and clean activity, taking care of the resources needed to deliver the services on offer.
- Pitch in as needed to help your centre, your manager, and your colleagues.
- Promote our values and expectations.
- Support your colleagues.
- Commit to your own development.
- Take part in company training programmes.
- Provide feedback so we can continually improve.
- Respect the privacy rights of customers and colleagues.

Skills, qualities and experience
- Experience instructing groups of mixed age and abilities.
- Knowledge of the National Plan for Swimming Teaching.
- Good oral communication and interaction skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours including days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Willingness to achieve the NRASTC Light qualification (provided by Halo).
Training and qualifications
- Qualified Swimming Instructor (STA Award/Certificate or SEQ Level 2) or willingness to become a Fully Qualified STA Swimming Teacher.
Shift options
- Holmleigh: Tuesday 4.30pm - 6.00pm (1.5 hours), Thursday 4.30pm - 5.30pm (1 hour)
- Brockworth: Monday 3.45pm - 6.15pm (2.5 hours), Tuesday 4.00pm - 6.30pm (2.5 hours), Wednesday 4.00pm - 6.00pm (2 hours), Thursday 4.15pm - 6.15pm (2 hours), Friday 4.00pm - 5.00pm (1 hour)
