We have a great opportunity at the Severn Centre, Highley for an up and coming General Manager to develop and grow within Halo Leisure. Ideally, you will be a confident customer focused leader, you will have a couple of years supervisory or duty management experience, earned in a customer facing, service led environment, an ambitious streak and a willingness to learn and mature on the job. You will need to be able to engage with both local partners and your customers on a regular basis.

The Severn Centre is a well loved local community asset with a number of key local agencies working and based within it, including the police, library, child care, GP surgery, food bank, knit and natter groups and many other unique community activities. Leisure provision includes, open air LIDO for the summer season, recently refreshed gym, sports hall activities and group exercise all year round. This centre provides a special opportunity to engage in collaborative working within the local community, there is great passion within Highley and the surrounding area for its success.

In return, we’re offering a nurturing and supportive environment, working within a committed area management team and a centre to call your very own, forming part of the wider group of 32 centres, operated by Halo Leisure Services Limited. Training, development and career progression will form a key focus for you to help you to shine and grow.

There is always room for growth and you will be a key player in the future of the centre. At the same time, the teams here are small so you will be as comfortable operating ‘on shift’ for most of your working week, whilst creating time in your working week to plan and develop your centre.

Due to the nature of the centre, a level 2 health & fitness qualification is desirable. During the Summer months when the LIDO is open an NPLQ is required. If you do not have the required qualifications now, we can provide you with access to achieve these standards quickly.

Scope – Today, tomorrow and the next three months

Contract – Permanent, 37 hours per week.

Salary – £27272.88 per annum
