Overview
Job Advert: Multi Skilled Vehicle Panel Beater/MET at Halo ARC York. Salary: £54,600 per annum (Hourly paid). Hours: 7am – 5pm Monday to Friday and 1 in 2 Saturday mornings depending on business needs. Start date: 20/10/2025.

This role will involve carefully repairing damaged vehicles to their original condition, delivering high-quality results that meet insurers’ standards. You will work efficiently in a modern, fast-paced clean environment, collaborating as a team player and consistently meeting tight deadlines.
This is for our BRAND NEW Accident Repair Centre in York — our 37th site.
Responsibilities
- Perform panel repair and replacement to the highest standard
- Demonstrate confidence in MET skills, such as rebuilding doors and fitting front panels and other vehicle components using the correct tools and equipment
- Weld and bond replacement panels and components securely
- Apply fillers and sealants to smooth surfaces and prepare them for painting
- Always maintain a clean and organised workplace
- Ensure all equipment and tools are used in accordance with safety requirements and maintained to a high standard
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, to prevent accidents
- Follow company procedures, policies, practices, and management instructions
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude throughout the workday
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience as a vehicle panel beater in an automotive repair environment
- Proven experience as an MET technician in an automotive repair environment
- Confident in repairing Hybrid and EV vehicles using appropriate methods
- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and highly organised with a strong attention to detail
- Collaborative team player, eager to support colleagues
- Capable of completing tasks from start to finish within set timeframes and to a high standard
- Able to work effectively under pressure and manage high volumes of work
