Salary: ÂŁ33-35k depending on experience with an increase on completion of 6 month probation.
Hours: 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday.

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate People Advisor to join our People Team in Bristol. In this role, you will be a key point of contact for line managers and over 500 employees, providing expert support and guidance on employee relations matters such as investigations, disciplinaries and grievances. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment, where standards are high and attention to detail, sound judgment and resilience are essential. There is also an opportunity to grow within the role by supporting and developing the People Administrator and Admin Apprentice, helping to allocate work and share knowledge, with ongoing guidance and support from the Head of People.
Responsibilities
- Coach and support managers on disciplinaries, grievances, capability, and performance matters, ensuring compliance with employment law and internal HR policies and procedures.
- Act as the point of contact for employee relation matters including planning, managing and risk mitigation of employment cases.
- Manage investigations into employee conduct and performance, ensuring a fair and thorough process.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all ER activities and outcomes.
- Support management teams with performance management and employee welfare matters.
- Act as a wellbeing champion, supporting initiatives that promote mental and physical health across Halo.
What we’re looking for
- CIPD qualification.
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law and best practices in employee relations.
- Proven experience managing a wide range of employee relations cases.
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented, impartial, and able to build strong working relationships.
- Empathetic and solution‑focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and confidentiality.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Previous experience within the automotive industry is highly desirable.
