The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative based from Weybridge, covering the Elmbridge area. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 3.30pm. The pay rate is £14.24 per hour. You will be working across parks, open spaces, and public areas, carrying out general grounds maintenance duties as part of a professional and friendly team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is looking for long term opportunities. There is potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate. A full UK driving licence is preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out grass cutting and lawn maintenance
- Undertake hedge cutting, pruning, and strimming
- Maintain planted areas, borders, and outdoor spaces
- Carry out litter picking and general site tidying
- Use horticultural machinery and equipment safely
- Work as part of a team to complete daily schedules
- Maintain clean and safe working areas
- Follow Health and Safety procedures at all times
- Previous grounds maintenance or gardening experience preferred
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Good understanding of safe working practices
- Strong work ethic
