The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Oxshott. This is a temporary role starting in May and running until the end of June, working 40 hours per week. Working hours will be 7.00am to 3.00pm or 8.00am to 4.00pm. The pay rate is £15.68 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay). You will support the estates team in maintaining large outdoor areas to a high standard. Due to the location, having your own transport is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate ride-on mowers to maintain large grassed areas
- Carry out grass cutting, strimming, and edging
- Maintain sports fields, playing areas, and open spaces
- Keep pathways, car parks, and external areas clean and tidy
- Carry out litter picking across the site
- Support the upkeep of fencing, signage, and outdoor facilities
- Assist the estates team with general grounds maintenance duties
- Maintain safe and presentable working areas at all times
Requirements
- Previous grounds maintenance or outdoor work experience preferred
- Ability to operate machinery such as ride-on mowers (training can be provided)
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable and punctual
- Willing to complete a DBS check
- Own transport preferred due to location
