The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Gardener working across sites between Egham and Brookwood. This is a full time permanent role with a salary of £26,722 per year, with an immediate start available. This role involves maintaining outdoor spaces within a defined local area. You will manage your own sections while working as part of a wider estates team, ensuring all areas are kept to a consistently high standard. This is a hands-on role offering a mix of routine maintenance and general improvement work across well-kept and established sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain allocated garden areas to a high standard
- Carry out general garden maintenance and improvement work
- Complete lawn care including mowing, edging, feeding, and seasonal work
- Maintain beds, borders, and planted areas
- Carry out seasonal planting including shrubs and bulbs
- Monitor plant health and manage pests or disease
- Carry out pruning and general plant care
- Use horticultural machinery safely and carry out basic checks
- Keep sites clean, tidy, and well presented
- Follow schedules and record completed work
Requirements
- Proven gardening or horticultural experience
- Strong practical gardening skills
- Confident use of horticultural tools and machinery
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Good understanding of Health and Safety
- Full UK driving licence essential
