The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Hounslow. This is a full time temp to perm role, working Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm. The pay rate is £14.24 per hour. You will work across school grounds and outdoor spaces, carrying out grass cutting, shrub maintenance, and general grounds maintenance duties as part of a friendly and professional team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work and is looking for a long term opportunity within a supportive and growing company. A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out grass cutting and lawn maintenance across school grounds
- Maintain shrubs, borders, and planted areas
- Undertake hedge cutting, edging, and general grounds upkeep
- Support line marking and seasonal grounds work
- Use horticultural machinery and equipment safely
- Maintain clean, safe, and tidy working areas
- Work as part of a team to complete daily schedules
- Follow Health and Safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous grounds maintenance or gardening experience preferred
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- PA1 and PA6 certificates beneficial but not essential
- Willingness to learn and undertake training
- Able to complete an enhanced DBS check
