The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Hounslow. This is a full time temp to perm role, working Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm. The pay rate is £14.24 per hour. You will work across school grounds and outdoor spaces, carrying out grass cutting, shrub maintenance, and general grounds maintenance duties as part of a friendly and professional team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work and is looking for a long term opportunity within a supportive and growing company. A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out grass cutting and lawn maintenance across school grounds
  • Maintain shrubs, borders, and planted areas
  • Undertake hedge cutting, edging, and general grounds upkeep
  • Support line marking and seasonal grounds work
  • Use horticultural machinery and equipment safely
  • Maintain clean, safe, and tidy working areas
  • Work as part of a team to complete daily schedules
  • Follow Health and Safety procedures at all times

Requirements

  • Previous grounds maintenance or gardening experience preferred
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
  • PA1 and PA6 certificates beneficial but not essential
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training
  • Able to complete an enhanced DBS check
