We are currently recruiting for an Estate Gardener to join the team maintaining a prestigious 70-acre private estate located in the Ascot and Sunninghill area of Berkshire. This is a full-time permanent position offering a salary of £28,268 per annum. This is an exciting opportunity to work within an experienced horticultural team maintaining beautifully designed formal gardens, parkland, woodlands, waterways, and leisure facilities to an exceptional standard.

Working across a diverse private estate, you will carry out a wide range of horticultural duties while developing your skills within a professional and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out all aspects of garden and estate maintenance
  • Maintain formal gardens, borders, lawns, and planted areas
  • Undertake specialist and general pruning of trees, shrubs, hedges, and climbers
  • Carry out lawn care including mowing, edging, feeding, and seasonal treatments
  • Assist with planting, ground clearance, mulching, and seasonal horticultural tasks
  • Maintain hard landscaped areas, pathways, terraces, and garden furniture
  • Assist with the maintenance of waterways, lakes, streams, and irrigation systems
  • Carry out pesticide applications in accordance with PA1 and PA6 certification (training available where appropriate)
  • Operate horticultural machinery safely and responsibly
  • Support the wider estate team in maintaining the highest presentation standards
Requirements
  • Previous professional gardening or horticultural experience
  • Experience maintaining private gardens or estates desirable
  • Recognised horticultural qualification beneficial but not essential
  • PA1 and PA6 certificates advantageous, although training can be provided
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport preferred due to the estate location
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
