Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) Location: London & Home Counties Division: Fire Alarm Systems Overview: We are looking for a skilled and proactive Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our expanding team. Whether you bring a wealth of experience or have a solid 3+ years in the field, the key requirement is that you\’re capable of hitting the ground running. You\’ll be working with a wide range of systems across our large and diverse client base, with a focus on delivering high-quality service and maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Carry out servicing, fault-finding, and repairs on a broad range of fire alarm systems Work independently to manage a daily schedule of maintenance visits across commercial and residential sites Diagnose and resolve issues on-site efficiently and professionally Complete all necessary reports and documentation accurately and promptly Communicate effectively with clients to ensure high standards of customer satisfaction Work with a variety of systems, with a preference for Advanced panels and Hochiki detection equipment About Our Systems: We maintain a wide variety of fire alarm panels across our client portfolio. There’s virtually no panel we don’t support. Our preference and standard offering is Advanced panels paired with Hochiki devices. The majority of our systems are open protocol, offering flexibility and familiarity to experienced engineers. Working Hours & Benefits: Working Week: 40 hours per week, door-to-door, across 5 working days Overtime: Paid at time and a half for any hours worked beyond the standard 48-hour week Weekend Overtime: Saturday: Time and a half Sunday: Double time Callout Rota: 1 in 8 weeks (Monday to Sunday) Standby Payment: £130 Attendance Bonus: 50% of any invoice value for callout visits Holiday Entitlement: 26 days annual leave, plus bank holidays Vehicle Use: Private use of company van permitted (subject to HMRC tax compliance) Candidate Requirements: Minimum of 3 years’ experience servicing fire alarm systems Solid understanding of fire alarm panels, especially open protocol systems Experience with Advanced panels and Hochiki devices is highly desirable Ability to work independently and manage your own workload Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Full UK driving licence required Why Join Us?
