Temporary Finance Assistant - Farnborough
Farnborough | £15.00-£17.00 per hour inclusive of holiday pay | Temporary | Office Based | Immediate Start
We're working with an established business based in Farnborough who are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to provide additional support to their busy finance team on a temporary basis.
This is a varied, hands-on finance role and would suit someone who is comfortable getting involved across day-to-day transactional finance, can quickly pick up new systems and processes, and is available to start at short notice.
What you'll be doing
- Processing purchase invoices and maintaining accurate finance records
- Supporting Purchase Ledger and Accounts Payable activity
- Raising and processing sales invoices where required
- Assisting with Credit Control and following up outstanding payments
- Completing bank and account reconciliations
- Processing expenses and credit card transactions
- Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
- Liaising with suppliers and internal departments
- Supporting payment runs
- Updating finance systems and maintaining accurate data
- Providing general finance and administrative support to the wider team
What we're looking for
- Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger or similar finance position
- Good understanding of transactional finance processes
- Confident working with Excel and accounting/finance systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Organised and able to prioritise effectively within a busy environment
- Comfortable picking up different tasks and supporting wherever required
- Available to start immediately or at short notice
