Are you an organised, proactive administrator who enjoys being at the heart of a busy and purpose-led organisation?

We are recruiting for an Office and Engagement Coordinator to join a growing charity in Egham dedicated to bringing hope to the lives of children, young people and families.

This is a varied, people-focused position where you'll help keep the office running smoothly while supporting fundraising activity, donors, partnerships and the wider team. You'll often be one of the first people supporters, partners and visitors speak to, so we're looking for someone who is naturally warm, welcoming and professional.

It would suit someone who enjoys variety and likes being the person others can rely on - whether that means organising a meeting, preparing documents, responding to an enquiry, supporting fundraising administration or simply spotting something that needs doing and taking ownership of it.

The role

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day office and administrative support
  • Acting as a welcoming first point of contact for visitors, supporters and partners
  • Supporting fundraising administration and coordination
  • Providing administrative support around individual donors and partnerships
  • Responding professionally to telephone and email enquiries
  • Organising meetings and supporting events
  • Preparing, proofreading and maintaining high-quality documents
  • Keeping records and administrative systems accurate and up to date
  • Supporting the Accounts Lead and wider team with general administration
  • Helping coordinate activities across different areas of the organisation
  • Handling sensitive and confidential information appropriatelyTaking ownership of practical tasks that help the office operate effectively
  • Building positive relationships with colleagues, supporters and external contacts

About you

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with strong administrative skills
  • Warm, personable and confident communicating with different people
  • Comfortable speaking on the telephone and communicating by email
  • Accurate with excellent attention to detail
  • A strong written communicator with good proofreading skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and online administrative systems
  • Able to manage several priorities and deadlines
  • Proactive and willing to use their own initiative
  • Experienced in organising meetings and/or events
  • Comfortable providing excellent supporter or customer care
  • Discreet when dealing with confidential information
  • Happy to get stuck in and support the wider team when needed
  • Collaborative and comfortable working within a growing organisation

An important requirement of the role

The organisation is founded upon a Christian ethos, vision and values, and for this to be respected in the post.

The organisation is also committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable people, and the successful candidate will be expected to share this commitment.

Why apply?

This is a lovely opportunity for someone who wants more than a traditional office administration position. You'll become a central part of a close-knit organisation where your work will support the relationships, fundraising and partnerships that ultimately help make a difference to young people's lives.

If you're an organised and caring person who enjoys helping others, building relationships and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.
