The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Hard / Soft Landscaper to join a growing Projects Team based in and around Eastleigh. This is a full time position, working 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, usually between 6.00am and 4.00pm, with some flexibility around start and finish times required on occasion. Any changes to working hours will be discussed in advance.

The role is paid at £12.60 per hour, equating to an annual salary of £31,449.60, and involves delivering hard and soft landscaping projects across commercial and retail properties in the surrounding area. This role has been created due to the expansion of the landscaping division and is ideal for a landscaper with experience in both hard and soft landscaping who enjoys varied project-based work. For ease of coordination within the team, candidates living in or near Eastleigh are strongly preferred.

You will work as part of a small, professional Projects Team, but must also be confident working independently when required. A full UK driving licence is essential due to travel between sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out hard and soft landscaping works across commercial and retail properties
  • Support landscaping projects from preparation through to completion
  • Complete soft landscaping tasks including planting, turfing, and general ground preparation
  • Carry out hard landscaping works such as paving, edging, small groundworks, and installation works
  • Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in line with project specifications
  • Work effectively as part of the Projects Team and independently when required
  • Maintain a professional and positive approach on site at all times
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and clients
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are used safely and correctly
  • Follow Health and Safety procedures, COSHH, and Risk Assessments at all times

Requirements

  • Experience in both hard and soft landscaping is desirable
  • Full clean UK driving licence essential
  • Plant knowledge and relevant tickets are advantageous
  • PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates desirable but not essential
  • Trailer licence desirable but not essential
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
